"I LOVED this trip and everything about it! The group had a lot of camaraderie, Meghan, our BikeHike tour leader, was “the bomb” (so easy to get along with, accommodating and very aware of all the details. Extremely talented, caring, involved, pro-active and calming to all.) Looking back I would not change anything about this trip. Truly enjoyed all parts of the trip… horseback riding, rafting, meals were quaint, well prepared and special. The bike riding was out of this world gorgeous! All our guides and driver did a great job, kept us safe, were very friendly, and gave us great background and history of Peru, the ruins, people, etc. Really loved being able to go to the school to meet the kids, and see their faces, while having the opportunity to see how they live when the cameras are off. 'When Stuart and I met on BikeHike Adventures Costa Rica Ultimate Adventure Medley in March 2005, there was an obvious connection; however, he was an Australian living in London, and I was (and still am) in Houston. I didn’t think it could ever develop into anything serious but we got along so well by the end of the trip that we decided to try a long distance romance between Houston and London over the summer. In November, Stuart moved to Houston and we married in February. One of the nice things about an adventure tour versus a regular vacation is that it shows much more of someone’s character: silliness, athleticism, leadership, competitiveness, etc. We learned a lot about each other in ten days, and we’ll continue to learn more—especially teamwork!!'
